10th Day of Christmas Challenge...Behold Thy Mother!

Tomorrow is my Son's birthday. He will be 14. I remember well being great with child and can not even comprehend being on a donkey while doing it. I have actually been great with child 3 times in the month of December and all three times, I took time to reflect and was sore amazed at what the Mother of the Son of God went through to bring him into the world.

LUKE 2:4-5

And Joseph also went up from Galilee...unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem…to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

There is actually no easy time to be pregnant. No convenient time to clean up vomit. No welcome time to be sleep deprived. No rejoicing at waiting up for curfew...or bailing a kid out of jail (not that my parent ever had to do that) But moms do it.  And we may not all be mom's ourselves, but guess what, every one of us has a mom. Some have gone on. Some of us are blessed to still have parents here on this earth with us. When was the last time you expressed gratitude for them?
Today's challenge: Write a note or call mom or dad, or send your thanks heavenward for the blessing they are. Extra credit if you do it for mother-in-law!
